Let’s get one thing straight: I’m not a perfectionist. Seriously, I’m not. Well, maybe just a smidge. But what’s the real issue here? Is it the fear that others might not appreciate my words? Yet, I stand firm in my knowledge.
This dream has finally leaped from the “someday” pile to the “OMG, it’s happening, and nothing can stop me now” category. Yes, this is me channeling my inner Sia (Cue Unstoppable). You might wonder, “What’s the big deal? Aren’t there a thousand similar blogs out there?” And you wouldn’t be wrong. According to any static site generator’s manual, you could have a website up in 10 minutes. They’re not lying. But for me? It took over 10 months to find the right theme, another 2 for customization, and several more questions – why I was investing so much time when the internet is already flooded with blogs.
Honestly, the blogosphere is vast and incredible. I’ve always doubted whether my contributions would measure up, continually jotting down ideas of what my blog could be. Then, a friend offered some wisdom: “Everyone starts somewhere. Just put yourself out there.” Such a cliché advice, yet somehow, it strikes a chord now that didn’t resonate when I was 21.
My coffee has gone cold, but that’s okay. I’ve been pondering why my blog would be special. It may not offer a groundbreaking experience, but it will be uniquely mine—infused with my thoughts, my voice. I once read, “Be kind, for everyone has a story.” That’s the ethos here. My narrative may not be extraordinary, but it’s distinctively mine—full of quirks, insights, and the journey thus far. And now, what was a “draft” for so long – just got “titled”
